Cold Snap Brings Better Ice

We’ve finally gotten the cold weather that we need and as a result after a group of volunteers scraped, chipped, shoveled, and sprayed, we’ve completed our first pass at ice maintenance. The early results appear to be very good, with great ice throughout most of the rink. There are some rough patches on the Northwest side of the rink and we’re continuing to improve that ice (the more skating that happens in that area, the better the ice will get).

Thank you to the Lexington DPW for their continued support and to the volunteers who shoveled this weekend and assisted with the maintenance last night and this morning- we couldn’t do it without you!

Interested in helping out? Put your name on our list and we’ll email you when we’re shoveling or doing maintenance.
